im not sure if this is an error or if i was just not aware of it.

    no... it only makes EXOT ELEC (both cause a radioactive explosion along with warp and pressure) and it also explodes with LOTS of heat and pressure

    ok, fixed. It was a typo in the code (r>>8 instead of r&0xFF). It set the ctype of the METL to the elements index (that number seen in debug mode like #123), not to METL like it should have. The SPRK(STKM) turned back into STKM when it was done being sparked.
