Walls work on a set grid in order to block pressure, heat, and electricity. To make it any thinner will require a re-work in the grid from what I'm referencing.

You must have missed some newish elements, we now have TTAN which can block pressure from a particle size wall.

As for being indestructable, this can be done with a few console commands to remove heat transfer and melting point.  Blocking spark would be the only pain, because it would require changing all electronic elements to also check for it, which would not be easily scripted in.

console commands you say? I have seen a list of the commands for lua, but I did not think they were that powerful.

Why remake elements, and why add a new menu, for remaking elements, and I imagine it would be easy to remake elements.

Most of the new commands are not even known about, even though the wiki has most of them.  It has access to the entire element list with full editing ability for any property. (In a much more universal way for all properties, the property names can be seen in any element.cpp file at the top)

Two commands will remove the heat transfer and melting point, here:

elements.property(elements.DEFAULT_PT_TTAN,"HighTemperature",10000) --sets melting point to impossible value
    elements.property(elements.DEFAULT_PT_TTAN,"HeatConduct",0) --turns off heat conduct

I know there is TTAN, just mistakenly added pressure to that list.

You could you DMND, INSL, SHLD, and TTAN and other stuff to do it.

Why call it Unobtainium? It's completly obtainable!

Edit: I didn't notice the 2nd page so when I posted I was like "Where'd you guys come from?!"

thx that will help me out with one of my saves.

And I still think that a one layer barrier that blocks all would be very usefull.

But does anyone know if this element would work for containing fusion because

when I try to contain it in diamond the particles glich into it or just go right past the diamond?
