    Why? They're private and what if you wanted to show something to your friend before you published it? You would send them the link and they would be unable to vote up until you published it.
    Anyway, you can only find private saves if you fiddle with links or get given a link.

    But I told them why I private-saved it and I didn't know you could vote on private saves. Imagine all the link-making n00bs!

    I suppose the solution for now is being careful to who you reveal your private saves to.

    If you private save it and personal message someone, then noobs won't get hold of it.

    Yeah, but I mean the n00bs might publish their private saves on a link and expect them not to get downvoted.

    Oh, well yeah. but that's their fault if they don't take necessary precautions. People should be warned that private save can be voted on. Maybe there could be a notice in the corner while saving the private save.
