You can make a video if it's pleasant for you, but it's art contest, we need pictures :-P
But now
Too small, I think. Also no need for those signs - it's not a chemistry lesson :-)
*Challenge accepted*
uhh.. let's see... Okay, let me show you this for the boxart:
This is a little scene of stickmen setting up a bunker while a near-melting warhead/nuke is about to go boom. The mechanics in the image don't work in practical usage, of course, though basic concepts are shown in the art. ("you call that art? I call it sloppy, you just let lockheedmartin himself make something more awesome than that") If you're wondering what that contraption is, it's a simple electric boiler that makes purified water to be stored, you guessed it, in the bunker. This image shows these elements/mechanics: SHLD, wiring, SWCH/LCRY, PIPE, CLNE, WIFI, FIRE/SMKE, elements as a solid, liquid, and a gas, WATR, its different forms, and how objects have dynamic temperatures and how they react to them in color on in material form (solid, liquid, or gas). The real nuclear explosion is up to the player to experience it!
Better than Game Maker's contest-winning happy face logo. Tell me what needs work. Also, you can tell from the hanging stickman that the resizing was disproportionate although I did do a correctly proportional resize.
Really nice :-)
Though I can name countless things to fix, hope you will take some into account:
Your boxshot is really good even now, but it can be made better, as you see.
Nice. There is no need in "The Powder Toy" line, but other than that it's not bad.
If you have some time, can you make a screenshot with something more impressive for a usual user? For example, a laser melting bug shields of metal or a blowing powerplant.
Unfortunately I can only criticize :-P
