@tudoreleuu(View Post) Life now only gets changed if a certain property is set in powder.h
Less than a third of elements need their life decrementing automatically, and only about twelve need to disappear when their life reaches zero. It therefore makes more sense to leave life alone by default.
Leaving life unchanged by default means there's less chance of bugs like this happening (this particular bug was fixed in v46):
@tudoreleuu(View Post) Did you remember to unpause after typing "set type dmnd bcln" into the console and pressing enter? The important thing is not the cloning behaviour, it's the way that BCLN uses life. (GOO is slightly broken in v48.2b, but once fixed, GOO would also work)
Look, the mac version not having a beta has been happening a while, although I think 47 did have one. It's fairly easy to compile it yourself on mac, as I have.
Simon doesn't have anything against macs, he doesn't have access/time right now. All three systems have their strong points, I'll probably be buying a new mac soon.
