@Rock-(View Post) I want cat heart to be an element. You shouldn't care why I need it, but I'll tell you anyway. I like to make cats on powder toy, and with the current element set it takes about 20 pixels to make a cat heart. I need to make a cat heart in 3 or less pixels, so you should really add cat heart. It would be easy to code, so I see no reason not to add it. I mean, you guys have fire, but not cat heart?!? WTF!?!?! Also make sure the betas are compiled for Minix, preferably before you even start writing them. I know Minix is a minority, but it's somehow exactly the same as 50s era racism if you don't release for Minix.
And? Why on earth do we need cat heart? Go read the forums, as they explictly say, "WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR NEW ELEMENTS". Also, Why in the world do we need cat heart? If you want it, code it yourself.
@Rock-(View Post) My point exactly. Why would it need movable solids? Answer: Solar system simulations. Do you even read what you write before you post?
Simon is the only one who compiles public releases, blame him, not anyone else. He may not ever make a 48 beta release for mac (possibly because people are bitching about it). When this version gets out of beta, there is a guaranteed mac version. I would assume it's more complicated (for a release) because of the app structure which has extra things in it.
Be nice people, people can suggest things, BUT if it is hardly any different than something else, there's no point.
@Rock-(View Post) Ah. That makes it totally reasonable to post a vague description in a thread for feedback about the beta. If you want to suggest something, suggest it where you're supposed to. And maybe thy to think of something unique for your element to do. Like say, SUN occasional throws out a SFLR (Solar Flare). As for the Mac thing compiling is pretty easy. I'm on Linux and I actually compile my Powder Toy pretty often just cause. There's a guide on how to do so on the wiki, https://powdertoy.co.uk/Wiki.html?id=osx_compile. If you can't do that for some reason, I'm sure another Mac user would be happy to upload a compiled one to some sharing site for you.
