Einstein was on a train riding past a large clocktower. he looked at the clocktower and thought "what would that look like if i was going at the speed of light?" he then realized, that he would catch up with the photons bouncing off of the clocktower, and it would remain at the same time.
He then realized travel at the speed of light was impossible, because time would in essence, stop.
so i would imagine, that if you went FASTER than the speed of light (if it was possible, which it isnt) you would travel back in time, because you would catch up with the photons that bounced off the clock earlier.
About time travel: It may be possible to travel forward into the future but not backward seeing as no one has visisted us and we can go back because we dont have time travel but we may be able to go forward, because the future ppl travel into their future but we cant.
@dnerd(View Post) I agree, that is interesting... I saw a documentary of that too... I watch a lot of documentaries.
An in all truth, if you are going through hyperspace, you have a displacement, but not time, as it is out of the equation, therefore you do not have a speed/ velocity and you are not going the speed of light... the equation is incomplete. that is still my opinion though, not a documentaries opinion.
