    I have school from 9:05 to 3:35
    For the Australians:
    Julia Gillard wants to introduce Saturday school... not by decreasing the hours, but to have much more school. She says that Australians are un-educated and need more education. That’s up to 480 extra days in a student’s school life. She has been trying to get it through for a while. My grandfather is passionately supportive.

    nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

    MORE BOREDOM

    If we cut down the amount of crap in schools and filled it up with useful subjects then it would be fixed. e.g. D&T, make Visual Art optional FROM YEAR 7. Religious Stuff That's for outside of school. Shakespeare and poetry, sitting around in stupid assemblies, MORE MATHS, Computer stuff from earlier, e.g. Y7, teach more USEFUL science, and STOP RETEACHING THINGS.

    EDIT: I nearly forgot. PDHPE, the "your special, and look at what's going to happen to you during puberty, now we're going to show you a graphical cartoon video of it." bit, not the running around bit.

    next year i am going to fly to a private school in France, then I am going to ride to UK where my cousins are(for summer)! Then I am going to travel to a public school in America. Cool, right?

    Just Kidding. Haha.

    Anyway, you are right jalfor. I had to watch that video for puberty in 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th...and i think 8th grade, too for me. My district ALWAYS reteaches IN EVERY YEAR. i agree very highly, thanks for pointing that out.

    Also, I still support education though. Science is real cool where i live.

    Once any of you get to high school if you are not there yet, at least in Australia, you will most likely be able to choose your subjects. In upper school, which is where I am at now, there is no re-teaching...
    So just wait... for example I chose Maths, English, Chemistry, Physics, Human Biology and business management... no useless classes.

    @me4502
    She won't be for long... But the problem is, I really don't want Tony Abbot to get in! I would rather Julia . btw, I think the carbon tax is official now...?

    It gets, less repetitive in high school, though they do reteach some things. Also, at my school and at all my friends schools we don't get to choose anything until Y9.
