what is the point of life in powder toy?

    does anyone know what the life things in powder toy are useful for, because i have no clue.
    or are they just for fun.
    i really wanna know so i can acctually do stuff with them, if anyone has an idea or opinion, that would be great

    They can be used for heating and cooling, ther than that, they are for fun (e.g. patterns). Search on google for "Game Of Life" (GOL) for information and history. The rest of the life are variants of GOL.
