Filament (FLMT)

I was trying to build a set of tubes that would flash colors when sparked. Using CRAY, I had them set up to fill a VOID tube with a glowing element, but every element I tried would change the color of the FILT or glow its default color. So I propose a new element to fill this gap.

    Filament (FLMT)

Color: Dark gray, changes color with temperature like METL.

    Temperature:  22C.

Melting point: 1500C. Molten material cools into BREL.

Behavior: Glows when sparked, if decorated the glow changes color to fit. Could possibly glow like EMBR.

Emits PHOT when sparked if temperature >1000C. Entire mass of FLMT lights up at once and conducts instantly.

If not decorated, glow color changes based on temperature from white (<100C) to red (>100C) to yellow (>500) to white with photons (>1000C).

If powered by PSCN, FLMT emits light indefinitely. If currently powered, power from NSCN deactivates FLMT. If powered by METL or any other conductor, FLMT lights up for 5 frames.

If OXYG touches powered FLMT, the OXYG turns into PLSM and can melt the FLMT.

Uses: Lightbulbs, multicolored screens, destructible alternative to INST and PCLN(PHOT), and just looking awesome.

    Support.

Also, if touching gas it turns the gas to plasma, possibly melting the filament. This simulates the burn out of real filaments when exposed to the atmosphere.

Sounds good, except it should probably not do this if it touches NBLE, and it should definitely do this with oxygen.

    Good idea!

i have one question though. Does it only glows when sparked (what i think is better) or would it be a system like LCRY (when you spark it with PSCN you have to spark it with NSCN in able to turn off)?

I like this idea, but I have 2 improvments.

    1. As normal, the filament glows different colors when decoed. However, if not decoed, the color changes with tempature. This allows for more automated changes in color, esspecially with ARAY and PSTN.

    2. It should be activated with PSCN : NSCN

I like it! I'll add your ideas and bimmo_devices's ideas to the OP.

Love this idea :D. One question, could the color changes be RGBYW? (those colors allow for the normal RGB, the yellow included in more accurate screens for complex colors, and white just cause it looks horrible on a RGB screen in tpt.
