"Private" saving isn't private

The title says it all to be completely honest. If I want to save something I've created "privately", it should stay that way, yet I barely ever publish anything, and I still see my "private" saves getting views/up-votes. I don't know how people are getting their hands on my save ID's, but it's starting to get annoying. If I'm missing something, or If I'm just completely wrong, please tell me, but as far as I know, people shouldn't be able to see my "private" saves.

Private saves are basically unlisted, yes. Think how pastebin handles their pastes: they can either be listed (and publicly listed in the "Most Recent Pastes" section) or unlisted (where they can only be linked to directly, not shown up randomly). Powder Toy "private" saves are basically just unlisted ones.

But really, unless you're using TPT as your master porn cache and/or are sending nudes to your SO through means of a picture-to-pixel converter then I really doubt that your saves need to be truly private. It's not like you're developing secret military technology or anything.

The view counter goes up every time you open it, it doesn't mean other people found it.

Well, there's nothing to stop people finding unpublished saves by loading random save IDs...

However, note that all saves, including unpublished ones, receive an automatic upvote from the person who created them (i.e. you). And I suspect the view counter probably increases each time you look at one of your own saves.

Actually that's not the main reason, sometimes you find out that your private save received 14 views even though you viewed it like twice for example.

What people do is that they take a recent save ID, increment it by 1 and search for the new save ID by either using the id:ID search feature or by running the !load ID console command.

    Here is an example:
    id:1908482 (A recent public save).
    id:1908483 (A private save).
    id:1908484 (A public save).
    id:1908485 (A private save).
    id:1908486 (A private save).
    And so on...

    1. The view count is most likelly the number of times you viewed this save

    2. If you publish a save, either public or private, you automatically upvote it.

    3. People can still get you "Private" save by guessing it's ID.
