I already have the code for this in my mod. It is powered void. It could be just an improvement to void without breaking many saves because it starts out turned on and doesn't change color when turned on or off. It would have a lot of uses as far as being able to control when you want to erase things without using bulky items like walls. PVOD in my mod is just regular void to show that it wouldn't break too many saves.

If you want another candidate for the powered materials section instead of just improving the element VOID, all i would have to do is add a few more lines of code so it changes color when turned on and off. :)
