    is powder toy compatible with hyper threading?

    EDIT:Sort of.

    Activating hyper-threading in your system's BIOS will cause your OS to address two virtual processors for every physical one, assuming your OS supports it as well. TPT does (Edit: indirectly takes advantage of) take advantage of this, however, I'm not sure the legacy build does. I've played TPT with both single and multi-core and have noticed a considerable speed increase using the multi-core. To be fair, some of that speed increase may be from the OS itself working faster with the hyper-threading, rather than TPT.

    No in fact, it does not. They haven't even made threading. So don't think that you know everything and that every program can be hyperthreaded as tpt cannot be.

    Sorry, didn't mean to offend. I did say that it may be the OS itself working faster with the hyperthreading, which I do notice, even when I'm running things like TPT. It's empirical knowledge.
