Ctrl+Z (undo) glitch

So, I'm making a glider with GOL, and then i mak a mistake, I press ctrl+z and it undoes what I wanted un-done, but oddly a little bit of the glider dissapeared. After pressing ctrl+z some more, almost half of the glider was gone. Then, when i flood filled a different area a little later, the GOL particles that dissapeared earlier spontaniously re-appeared.

Could someone please explain what is going on 'cause this is really wierd.

What do you mean exactly by "five steps"?

    ...no.
It undos one step, a step being a normal click (NOT a line/box/floodfill).
Since so many people are having issues, it may be fixed to save line/box eventually.

It's a bug, I know exactly what I've done wrong.

I forgot about undo when adding parts_lastActiveIndex.
