Planning out complex electronics.

How do you manage to plan out or visualize things like a copy machine or a keyboard/display?
Do you just work it out on grid paper or what?
or is it just that you are simply wizards?

Uhhhh, i have no idea how... Some people (me included) are geniuses i guess XD.

Seriously though i usually make it one part at a time and then combine it only at the end.

I just draw it, then combine, then compact, I like separated modules connected through wires

i usually make everything while i'm planning then make a smaller compact version later.

I think of the basic principle and logic in my head I know all the gates and crap so I can just think ok if this does this I need an XOR to cancel that part out it's simple just along as you know what your making and how it's actually going to complete the task.

I just do it, after thinking about it for a while.

But you have to consider: As far as I know, only one of us here has done complicated electronics, and that would be lucasspencer123. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Well complex can mean many things, you could have a procssro that takes up the whole page, or really small and clever things, which is what i do, cram as much functions into as small a space as possible.

You may not hav seen much but i hav a lot more planned (dramatic music in background)...

I myself have been building individual processo parts for a month or two. Almostready for assembly.
I only say that most of us here haven't done anything compliated becaus in comparison to lucasspencer123, we haven't... unless you have done a variety of processors. If lucasspencer123 wasn't intis conversation, then we all would have done something complicated.
