Zoom window won't stay?

    I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 and a laptop touchpad and Windows 7 Home Premium with a mouse.

    The start screen says to click while holding Z to get the zoom window to stay, but that doesn't work on eithe rcomputer. I've tried mashing buttons, but that's only succeeded on Ubuntu and I've never been able to replicate it on purpose. So what the heck do I do to get the zoom window to stay up?

    (I've searched. There doesn't seem to be anything about this as far as I can see.)

    Press z, and click. It should work.

    ALT+Z will toggle zoom on/off.
    Click will hold zoom in place.
