I just thought I would let you people know, I'm getting -really- tired of opening up element suggestions threads to find them crammed full of insulting, irrelevant, or otherwise demeaning comments. I understand that it's horribly inefficient and nowhere near as cool to have Element Suggestions locked so only mods and devs can post, but this is starting to get old.
Seriously, when people suggest new things, take them seriously, don't post anything at all if you don't have something useful to note, and mention if you're not absolutely sure of something you point out. I've already temp banned like eight people over this.
It's still fine to refer people to the search bar if they ask for something that's been asked for a thousand times, but please say -just- that, and don't make a big deal of it.
@Catelite(View Post) Well this has been sugested many times before, and I would like to ask you to use the search bar in the future...

Pretty much, yeah. Just no mocking, all capitals, bold words yelling, etc etc. :P
People put a lot of thought into their suggestions, no matter how crude or silly they look. So it's disconcerting to read threads and see people getting basically flamed for it. =/
@Catelite(View Post) I agree. I just read an element suggestion about adding things like vinegar, cornflour etc and I found the post by The-Fall highly unaceptable. To be honest, I'm glad he got banned.
I agree with this, but I think this would suit more if it was an ampliation of rule 1 of "forum posting rules":
1) Use proper grammar and spelling so others can understand you. Avoid posting any curse words or foul language. Using **** instead to replace foul language is OK. Please be polite, as trolling is a quick way to get threads locked.
The flames of others are mostly because of the same suggestion. 4370 times of suggesting moving solids in every way is kind of anoying, so are they now going to be locked when seen by a mod or not? (this is just an example there are plenty of other things that are also suggested a lot of times)
I agree with you that people shouldn't flame to new users but the new users should also use the searchbar when suggesting something, banning people for flaming and not for suggesting the same thing so many times looks like a bit unfair (not really unfair but something in that direction I guess)
It's hardly unfair. It's like banning someone who's retarded for not being the sharpest stone on the block :P
It's easier to ban the people who make a mess and flame than to ban the people who unwittingly post things that have already been suggested in the past.
