First: I created the simple 3- and 4-cycle clocks from http://karlscherer.com/Wireworld.html by drawing a yellow WIRE. I then sparked the wire and the counters did not work. An electron traveled through the wire once, but nothing looped and it did not create a clock. I tried putting the spark at many different locations. I also tried feeding it through a PSCN instead of directly sparking it. How do I make the basic clocks work? Why isn't the electron looping?
Second: I'm new to tpt. I read that WIRE head ctype is dust and tail ctype is watr. How do I set these? Is this why my counters didn't work - do I have to set them manually and not with a spark? I tried drawing a WIRE, opening the console and type "!set ctype wire watr" but nothing changed and the wire stayed yellow. How do I set the ctype of a WIRE cell?
Third: I'm noticing that when I spark the WIRE it does not behave according to the rules in the wiki (and on the wireworld site). The rules say red -> blue -> yellow, but when I create a spark the pause the simulation I see blue first, then red, then yellow. Blue seems to be the electron head? Why doesn't the behavior seem to agree with the rules I've been reading?
