Guys I put this in help because I'm going to need medical assistance if I ever see this again: things getting frontpage with only three votes...what is going on? I have seen pictures of older versions of TPT where the minimum about of votes it took to get front-page was like 15-20. The number has dropped, to what I have been counting and averaging, to around 4-5. Why is this happening? Can the Moderators keep good saves up longer, to prevent mass clearings of old saves from allowing spots to open for crummy saves when the older saves get wiped off? I am near the state of smashing my computer right about now... XD
EDIT: plus most of the top five saves had around 200 something votes, not its dropped to on average 90-120.
I actually am starting to think the vote-reminding logos were better than none now... not saying arrows were good but a simple friendly reminder couldn't have hurt, or could it >:D -

The vote-reminding logos got stupid saves with no actual content besides asking people to vote, on the front page. With hundreds of votes, too.
And sorry if people aren't pumping out genius all the time, but this is pretty much the way it's going to be. =/ Making saves stay longer on the front page would only mean more people would never have a chance at seeing their stuff up there.
There is no magic way to make the front page more interesting short of hiring a team of people to scout out interesting stuff, which would totally defeat the point of having a front page. xD -
@Catelite, please make some more cool things for front-page! Preferably anything Better than what's already up there :P
I guess it would defeat the purpose of front-page if people were chosen by a group of mods rather than the TPT community, but the way things are going right now I don't see how if could get much worse :(

@Catelite, I wish there was more enthusiasm involved in new ideas. My friend Lynx was telling me alot of good ideas get ignored because "They don't involve one of two things: Bombs or Copied items" XD true isn't it? I guess it might be slightly better to have a weekly sponsored save promoted on front-page by a moderator. Only for really good ideas though. -

@Finalflash50, you clearly don't understand what I was saying. I'm only suggesting an elongated period of time for which exceptionally good saves can remain front-page, not for their front-page premier to be there as a testament to older saves on TPT for all future members to see :P perhaps a critical lapse in biased judgement clouded your perception of my vividly descriptive paragraph/s explaining rough statistics comparing older scenarios of front-page facts to more modern front-page statistics. Nothing to get worked up over, see? :P my natural attraction to the fine art of critiquing things seems to inexplicably seep over to TPT, where I can hardly help but look at something and find its fatal flaw so-to-speak. Is that such a bad thing sometimes? Attention to detail is very important. Perhaps if this trait was more oftenly seen within most saves I wouldn't be complaining so much, now would I? :)

Standards in my perspective are things that need to be set high :/ I am not one to feel success or accomplishment simply by doing something easily achievable through mundane means. If everyone in the same room as me gets a sticker (sh¡ty example) and that sticker was given to the smartest students, suddenly that sticker means nothing. Its not unique anymore. Its value returns to that of an adhesive coated piece of paper. Same with front page. Something like that should be designed to raise the bar, not for it to be a quick and easy way of injecting self confidence. I don't think it holds as much value as it did before. That's another key point your didn't extract from what I was saying. So many metaphorical analogy's and symbolistic themes hidden in my context- waiting to be extracted by the those who are of less understanding. I bet you are getting a headache right about now, hmm? :P

I agree in that the front page is not as imaginative as it used to be, but, it's mainly because people are running out of ideas, and added to that, if they have been done before, especially from geniuses like Benassi and Pegosh(2), people will have already seen it and become bored with it.
This is why I believe bombs are boring, because they are so easy to make and there are a numerous amount of them.
