This element could probably use a better name, it is intended to be "Insulated Wire 2" or something like that.
This element would behave in exactly the same way as INWR, except it would not conduct sparks to active SWCHs.
I believe this would allow for even more compact electronics, as there is currently, as far as I can tell, no conductor that does not affect SWCH in some way (and SWCH has a slightly larger range than other conductors), aside from ARAY, but that requires a conductor + ARAY + empty/FILT/ARAY to start and to change direction.
@cip(View Post) i dont make a lot of electronics using switch but i think this is a great idea, insulated wire is a conductor lol so you'd have to change the name.
I thought I remembered seeing a post here by jacksonmj suggesting the use of WIRE. I'm either misremembering or it was removed, but WIRE does work for roughly for this purpose. The issues with using WIRE for this are:
1. PSCN does not transmit sparks to other conductors when it is used to trigger a WIRE (not sure if this is a glitch or intentional).
2. WIRE cannot jump gaps.
3. WIRE can only transmit to NSCN, not PSCN or ARAY.
4. WIRE blocks BRAYs, even when INST+ARAY is used.
5. WIRE spark travel times are faster than normal, which needs to be accounted for if spark timing it critical.
WIRE is still useful for this in situations where the above issues don't matter though.
