This is a concept I have been playing around with for a while.
It is pretty resilient now (with no ambient heat), although wifi still has issues with pressure.
If anyone has suggestions for fixing that, i'd be interested.
The metal is cooled by the ln2, so even if it over heats, it should fix itself.
As for the DMND use, I like that it is near indestructible; but dislike WALL and would rather use something that could be destroyed with difficulty (except for the design to keep things out).
Have you thought about using portal instead of wifi to send/recieve sparks. Prti and prto can send sprk just as well as wifi and won't get destroyed by pressure. That should stop your problem. OR maybe get a little bit more creative, and use stor to eject brmt if the wifi breaks along with clne to replace it. If neither of those work, there's always seeing if you could use conv to turn the brmt back into wifi without messing up your force field. Hope I helped and good job +1
It seems that portals don't work when completely surrounded?
It also looks like, when it works, portals are much more finite; what you put in is what you get out, unlike the multiplexing effect you can get with wifi.
But conv looks like it will work well, after i modify the space where wifi goes, and it goes well with the 'self repair'.
have You attempted Aray? I Know it can provide a simple forcefield if you have it lined up with a flat surface, but im not sure on its resiliency.QRTZ is also quite resilient, yet i think Extreme Cold, aswell as bombs and dest, are its only downfall.
@plead-for-destruction it also leads to pscn type bray on the non-diaganal designs >__<
@coenmcjyes, at absolute 0, qrtz falls apart. it also likes to conduct when cold.
I am playing with replacing dmnd with clne(insl). While near indestructible still, sing can still destroy it. If I do use it, I'm going to need to make the space for ln2 a pixel wider, so the dmnd replacement clne will not fill it. Sound like a decent compromise (bcln is out, it breaks way to easy)?
I'm also going to add some clne(metl) between the metl, so it should be able to fix just about anything.
