Approximately a month after I found the 'new' TPT website (this one), I started making a few ideas that I would like implemented in TPT. Eventually, I ended up putting a TPTNI file (no extension. I wonder why I did that...) on my desktop, and I almost always had it open in SCiTE while I was playing TPT, and would every so often come up with a (humbly) brilliant idea. At this point, I found it large enough to share with the world, and am doing so now. And so I present TPTNI R1 (I just love complicated initialisms), and open this thread for discussion. Of course, all of the ideas stated there will always be a desirable feature in TPT (in my opinion), so I will not remove an idea even if it receives a chilly reception by the TPT community. Some of these may be someone else's idea, perhaps slightly modified, but I have unfortunately forgotten to keep track of the initial idea-er. Anyway, this list is not exhaustive, and ideas will be added. Enjoy!
First, there are a few elements that use a binary flag system, such as UCON (not University of Connecticut, but Universal Conductor), EDIT (as suggested before), CHNG (switches property values), and KLST (Catalyst, makes it easy to 'make' new reactions without re-coding).
Second, there is a modification for STOR to act like E-Hole when the flag (stored in tmp2) is 0 or 2, and allows to be set for FIFO or FILO modes.
Third, 3 new menus that act like 'favorites' menus (but different modes).
Fourth, a few powder-game-derived ideas.
Plus a few other odds and ends that I felt like would be great to have.
EDIT:
Yay! I got the secret 'Member' [Orange.css] CSS file there for a moment!
Maybe a new element on the game - Ununoctium? this is a real element, it could be put in the nuclear section, with a colour of glowing red maybe? with some of the properties of the actual element, i'm not a programmer, but i think this would be a good addition to the program
The colour of ununoctium is not known yet, but i suppose its transparent because its inert gas
Also, You are right in that I know no C programming, while I try to use a few other languages, and I have very little understanding of how TPT works. However, I have far more understanding than most of the two subjects, as in, more than someone who has TPT to play it, and doesn't care much about the community. (You can learn an awful lot on the forums.)
