Alright, this tank might have one of the most powerful cannons in TPT, but the drawback is, that it sometimes backfires and hits a part of the tank, which really doesn't scratch it much (armor is specially made to witstand DEST), but, that's sort of lame.
Portals work fine, but i don't want covering the entire tank with Portals.

Well, the reason this happens is because you're using a lot of DEST with each shot. Invariably, some of the DEST travels slower, since it's farther from the FRAY. However, by the time it reaches its target, the faster DEST has already exploded, creating waves of pressure that propel the slower DEST back to the tank. If I were you, I'd try using less DEST, or else make a firing mechanism that fires the DEST all at the same time. I'd suggest making your 1px layer of FRAY on the left, a 1px layer of DEST in the middle, and a 1px layer of DMND on the right, since FRAY can launch particles through 1- or 2- layer thick confinement.

I don't know much about DEST, but I think you need to seal off the barrel.
