Solid Energy Tutorial

If have just finished and uploaded a quick tutorial for creating solid energy particles, such as NEUT, PHOT, and ELEC. (Which is very good for exotic matter)

    THESE PARTICLES WILL NOT DISAPEAR

Anyways, back to the main topic: How it works.

I discovered this a while back when I had a sudden need to turn FILT into PHOT

However, upon doing so, the PHOT dis not move. I was confused.

Had I did something wrong? No, I had not.

I tried this with the other energy particles, and it turned out that it worked with all three.

Using this glitch, I created perfect lightsabers, a new bomb style. and a much improved electrowarp cannon. So when I was asked to post this tutorial by one of my friends IRL, I said sure.

    It's really simple to do:

Just go into the Console and type in:

!set type filt (Energy name here)

*The 'Energy name here' tab is for you to put in either PHOT, NEUT, or ELEC.

    Here is is!

Tell me what you think of the concept.

You can also do it directly with energy particles.

    To stop them moving:
    !set vx stuff 0
    !set vy stuff 0

(but note that neutrons have a bit of random movement, so they will soon start moving again)

Photons and electrons are created with a life value of 680 (neutrons get a random value, between 480 and 959). The life value decreases by 1 every frame, and the particles disappear when their life value changes from 1 to 0.

To stop this happening, set life to 0. The life values will stay at 0 and the particles will not disappear after a time delay. Unlike some other console commands, this effect of setting life to 0 is intended behaviour and not a glitch - it will continue to work in future updates.

    !set life stuff 0

Although I must admit that using FILT is probably easier - you don't have to pause to place it without it flying away, and it's one command instead of three.

I have realised this from previous use.

However, ever since I realized that I could do it this way (Which cracker64 commented on during my use of a mod of this with NEUT), I begun to do it like this.

Also, it appears that this will also be included in a future update.

Anyways, this is not meant to be a competition between one method and another. This is meant to be a showcase of a concept. So why am I still typing? :)

(I did not know about the way that you suggested, thanks!)

I have had solid energy particles (photons) saved in my stamps since before decor mode came out.

This also works with other solids but I tried doing it with falling stne and got a cool effect of a powder like movement.
