Video HUD Effect?

    Does anybody know how a half- easy way to apply a HUD/FPS effect to a video? I want it to look kind of like an FPS, but even displaying a timer in a corner would be good enough. Thanks in advance if you know something.

    No, not a game, but like if I recorded a video in first- person and wanted to put a HUD on it. Is there any way to apply HUD using something other than After Effects?

    Maybe use an overlay?

    Exactly, but what I'm asking is; is there a fairly easy to use program for making overlays in the style of an FPS?

    What you could do is knock up a hud in photoshop then import it over the top of the video.
