    This has been suggested a lot. Even I suggested it. I don't think it will ever be implemented unless a modder makes it first. Even then, it would be a bit of a stretch.

    Skepticism can always be expected in a thread asking for nothing less than single pixel sized detectors. And you absolutely right, it would take too long to add unless a private modder decided to first design this themself.

    It's basically 1px detector wall, which has been suggested for a long time. The reason for rejection is we don't need pixel-thick walls. You can do it yourself by compiling TPT, then setting in "defines.h" the value "#define CELL 4" to "#define CELL 1". It's a TREMENDOUS speed decrease. It also makes pressure 1px based.
    You'll go from 80fps to 10 or lower, I assume.
