It almost feels similar as when early Renaissance sailors left their home to discover a new land, despite the losses they would face, except in this day and age, we send robots to do the job for us, and the only loss we have are billions of dollars spent on all this stuff.

Pretty cool though. Colonization of Mars seems quite far away, yet interesting. However, it is nothing like earth - no fuels, too weak an atmosphere to contain liquid water and the cold temperature.

If only time machines existed to see the future, so we could see how we would eventually overcome these problem (if we ever did).

 I was thinking something would malfunction and it would crash, but I guess not. It seems Nasa has beat the odds STACKED against them and landed curiosity.
