Powder toy has grown a lot lately, many things have changed and many things have been added.
But if you think well, the lasts updates weren't that good. Developers are actually just adding new elements, and many of them are just useless. So many elements but no big utility, such as:
EMP
TESC
LIGH
STOR
RPEL - We have BHOL/WHOL
FRAY - I dont know how to use this lol
ACEL - no need this, really
DCEL - neither
SMOK (pff, we have co2)
MWAX
GEL
WAX
EXOT
LIFE IS ALSO VERY USELESS, WE LIVE WELL WITH ONLY 3 OF THEM
TRON - its funny, but kind useless too.
(If you desagree with me on some of this elements tell me. Its just my opinion)
Ok. My idea is that you could improve the elements that we have now, instead of creating new ones and dirty the game. Think: "oh, this element also can do this and this."
But in my opinion thats not the biggest problem. What i think is happening is even deeper. I think developers are like tired, after so much work, they now think its good. So they say: "No moving solids, its too buggy" "dont even think about layers on powder toy, it will consume lots of process". Actually, they don't want to work on this. WE NEED MOVING SOLIDS.
Sugestion: take a break. Finish your ideas to the next version, and start to work on one of this ideas: MOVING SOLIDS or LAYERS. Take how many time you need to do this, because its needed. Our jobs can't go ahead without this essential things!!! All you are doing is messing up! Stop this. Try to make a few nice things, instead of loads of useless! The game isn't getting better by the time you add pointless elements.
I hope you regard my opinion, because it will be better for the game in itself.
I truly have never understood the need for TRON. Or some of the secret elements such as LOLZ, LOVE or FOG.
But, TPT is a game. Some things are just added for the fun of it. People always find a use for them in some way or another, so why not? There's no need to be so uptight on whether some elements have uses or not.
"I don't/can't use it so it is useless"
Everything you listed can do many things (except for LIGH, which was used for heaters and pressure guns before, but very pointless now)
Now other pointless elements are like LOLZ and LOVE, which I might do something for eventually.
Basically, there's just a few pointless elements.
Also, there will not be moving solids, ever. Layers is much more likely. If you want to change the direction TPT is going, then do it yourself. You can't speak for the developers and know what we are working on or want in the game (note: this is a GAME, that is FUN).
1st, this isn't realism toy. This is ment to be fun, not to be realist. For realism go play a sandbox called 'real life' (no, it doesn't exist, with 'real life' sandbox I mean the real life). Sand, for example, isn't just a singular dust. It's a mix of several elements.
2nd,
He's right. TPT is a game. We need to have some fun on it! But I think lolz and love are really the pointless elements here, just like cracker says.
Your arguement makes no sense. First your saying powder toy should be and is made to be realistic, then your saying that we shouldn't focus on realism?
I like LOLZ and LOVE, the reason being stated in my post above. And no IDs are wasted on LIFE elements, because it's all one element. They all have the same ID therefore none are wasted.
Oh and by the way, TPT isn't all that realistic.
There is no reason to make a new element just to have ONE function. I think they should make elements interact more, idk, make some explosive reactions, things like that. You can't say WMAX is userfull because you can make candles with it. But its not my point. I think moving solids AT LEAST A MOVING SQUARE, A MOVING BALL is something we need. I particulary preffer to have moving solids rather than a 100 elements pack. Really. For me its enought of elemenets.
I will create a new post just to explain things i things that should be changed on the elements, for more realisms/usage.
Im not looking for realism, im want to open developer's minds. Im just trying to show my opinion about the game. They make it, ok, but i think every user can help, on a polite and respectful tone.
