Realistic photon?

So as you should know photon have dual structure - it behaves like a particle, and like a radiation electromagnetic wave.

But special element in TPT - PHOT have only particle properities.

Soma days ago, I made some research in TPT and created this simulation with fast moving plasma. Then i accidentally turns anbient heat ON.... And I saw a heat waves! They are pretty awesome!

I think that this simulation looks like a real photons! It have not only particle propereties of photon radiation (in this simulation it is plasma particles) - it have also something like a electromagnetic radiation (heat waves)!

    What do you think?

Interesting, I've seen this effect before, but never thought of it like that. Although, what is really being simulated it the "longitudinal" waves, which have parallel oscillations (if you mean the direction of the plasma) which is found IRL as sound waves. Light/photons would be transverse waves (the stereotypical wave shape). And I think there is a sideways effect that appears to look like a transverse wave in your simulation.

    +1 for observation though :)

I think this effect is mostly caused by the "pixel skipping" effect caused by high speed powders/gasses, which means that the particles only get to touch the air in certain places, heating it up irregularly, hence the odd pattern on the screen.

    How Interesting.

Ive not seen this effect before...

This is definitely an interesting find, and I think this goes to show how cool TPT really is. Great job!

Nice, I don't know how it would be simulated, though.

Interesting, I saw a similar effect when using my ambient heat gun with the air display on heat mode. Except there were no particles involved, just ambient heat.
