it's vital you include the original save-id when reporting a stolen save, or the report is useless to mods. just giving the name or username of the original save is not good enough.
include the original save-id when reporting stolen saves.
@doxin(View Post) What if, as well as a reason box in a report, there could be an extra smaller box that must contain an ID before the report can be sent. That way, all reports would contain ID's for the original saves. If the box is empty, a small message could pop up saying "You must provide the ID of the original save"
@boxmein(View Post) that's true. Maybe there could be a little check box to tick "Stolen" which could be left blank if it was just an issue with the save content. And when it's ticked, it gives you the box to fill in the save ID of the original save. Or is it just getting too complicated... I think it could help.
@therocketeer(View Post) I think something like that might be good. Maybe a few checkboxes for the most common reasons. I would also like it if I could just see reports straight from tpt, and the save and the one it's stolen from could be compared side by side, and also the report message. Right now, you have to open all 3 of those separately, after you find the stolen save. I was going to try to add something like that (to my mod even though only I would actually use it), but Reports.json has way too much html in it. I was hoping that would be fixed sometime when it got the new website style upgrade, but it never did.
It looks like the new report dialog in tpt++ says: "Things to consider when reporting: 1) When reporting stolen saves, please include the ID of the original save. 2) Do not waste staff time with fake or bogus reports, doing so may result in a ban."
@cyberdragon442(View Post) There's a Stealers thread for it, go rant there. This is for meta discussion about stealers.
@jacob1(View Post) A report ticket system with templates for common errors could be useful, with a "Other" to default to when no other one fits the report well. Allows for moderators to filter their reports, allows for report "priorities" and stuff.
@cyberdragon442(View Post) Okay, I removed that one. I saw the save earlier, and voted up on it... maybe i'll go upvote yours now instead. It was probably only unpublished before, you can still publish it again after that. I disabled it this time.
@boxmein(View Post) Yes, maybe, except there really aren't many reports. There was 6 just a second ago, but 5 were all of the same thing.
