Help With Acid -> CAUS Gas Converter

Well I haven't played TPT for over a year ,I believe, and I thought I would continue working on an old save that Catelite challenged me to do. I have a very Basic version... It doesn't make caustic gas %100 and of the time at a very slow rate, and I was wondering if someone could help me make a prototype that produces more caustic gas faster and almost %100 of the time.      I have found that less acid works better, and with a very low vertical depth of it.  Also, maybe you should use PIPE instead of PRTI/O, and put VOID(WTRV) along the route to keep any excess WTRV inside of the tank.

Heh. I have hard challenges. :3

    Actually, there are some issues.

First, no idea why you're heating your steam up. It doesn't affect the output of your machine at all, and only causes it to produce steam less often. Besides making the save run subtly slower for some people.

Secondly, you need to make sure your portals can be touched from all sides. A portal pixel has eight usable sides if I remember right, and each of those can accept a certain number of particles. If your portals can't absorb particles on the same available sides, it's as if they aren't connected at all.

...Also, you're relying on a trick of gas particles with different diffusion speeds to allow the gas through the acid. You could probably just make a small grid of gas-only walls that lets liquid through the opposite spaces, so that steam has the largest amount of space to touch acid with. If it's the right size, it will be acid gas 100% of the time once reaching the top.

Try just using a single pixel of portal that doesn't have something touching any of its sides. That way if you use more than one chamber, the particles passing through it will be more evenly divided into the rooms you produce.   ...Or replace them with clone that produces steam.

Uhhh I don't know why I heated the steam either..... :o It's gonna be awhile before I get this done because I have so much school work and like no time to play but I'm gonna do it! :p Thanks for the tips both of you :)
