Nuclear Power Plant questions!

OK so i need help with my nuclear power plant! Ok, so i've seen many other power plants and they all use FILT. Why do people use FILT on their power plants??? I cannot figure it out! Secondly, how do i make it so that my E-Wall stays open longer? It only stays open for a fraction of a second, but i know you can make it so it stays open longer. Also, how do i change the channels on the WiFi? I thought you just had to change the temperature, but that didn't work. Also, how do i turn on and off power activated things?

If you guys can help me with this it would be much appreciated! I've looked everywhere and couldn't find anything.

    Thanks!

FILT is used because it doesn't melt, or break under pressure, while still conducting heat very easily.  E-Wall stays open only as long as it is powered, in other words, you have to keep sending more spark to it to keep it on.  Power activated things (except for E-Wall of course) turn on with PSCN and off with NSCN.

Another question: How do i cool down the FILT? When i do a nuclear reaction and it heats the FILT, it gets soo hot that I cannot put anymore water in the tank because it immidiately evaporates

GOL in a square* next to HSWC works well for cooling.

    *Like this:

    GOL = X

    XX

    XX

As well as what uberness said, you can use a cloned element (e.g. glow) falling into void in a box attached to your filt or indeed part of the filt itself

You could use hswch but for the sake of simplicity, you could do it like this

What do you mean? I don't get what you mean by "GOL in a square". Like, do I put GOL in a box or something? If so, what would that do? Could you provide a picture maybe?

It can be in a box or touching the surface you want to cool it doesn't really matter but it has to be in a square of 4 e.g.with "x" being empty space and "G" being the GOL

    XXXX

    XGGX

    XGGX

    XXXX

to make ewall stay open longer, the spark should activate a SWCH with a pscn. There should be a battery on one side of the SWCH that will then spark anything across the SWCH.

Life particles were introduced as a sort of older geek bonus to the game. We decided at random, while making them, to allow heat view to show the age of an individual particle of life like some older GOL simulators do.

...This of course means, new particles that have just been generated will always be about 8000~ temperature. And the older a particle gets without dying and being replaced, the colder it becomes, eventually relaxing at a constant -273.15C.

This boils down to, you can use LIFE particles to get almost-maximum heat and absolute cold temperatures in a box that will essentially never change heat, without abusing clone and void to reproduce hot and cold materials.

...Also, mind, FILT being hot just means your reactor can continue to make energy out of leftover heat with water. :P
