How do you add mods?

    You don't download them and apply them to current version you just download them and open as if you'd downloaded normal powder toy.

    well, I've tried doing that with some of 'em, but all I get is the source code, and no .exe

    That could be because the stuff you are downloading is... source code...
    Just a guess.

    Source code needs to be compiled; if you don't know how to compile, read the wiki; if you get errors there's google.

    Ask for someone to compile, you get shot with an 8-bit cannon.
