PSTN and FRME adjustments

Like many people im impressed by the new PSTN and FRME elements. Though i think its still in progress. For example, i went to try it out as a gate for a water to pass but once i opend the gate, and the water would flow all over it, i could not close it any more because there was water on top of it. I know it must be very hard to code the PSTN that it can push particles out of its way but though i think its worth a topic.

if other users expirience other problems i thought lets discuss them here.

Yeah I've tried a water gate

for your actual problem; try building the gate to close from down-top since I assume that you've built it to close top-down like any conventional real world gate-controlling-thingamajingy and add void at the top. If you try it for a little bit I'm sure you can set up the void and gate in a manner that makes the excess water being pushed up by the pstn to go into the void and not mess up your system too much ;) a very similar solution comply for the needs if it's closing from sideways instead.

on the suggestion I totally aggree since it would be so much easier to use pstn if it was to be able to push aside liquids and powders if necessary instead of it having sudden god-properties pushing out fragments of solids and stuff, or breaking the entire pstn contraption. Yet without breaking the entire thing or involving such impractical algorithms for moving the "solids" that would have quite a cost on my framerate

That is a very good idea, but unfortunaly it didnt work. The PSTN wont work untill all the water is gone on top of it. I think its also a critical point because with PSNT people are going to try to make water pumps etc, so it has to function fine and be able to push particles away of any direction.

If you want a water gate use CRAY with PSCN

you mean like i make on the bottom a CRAY powered with metl that makes like FRME or METL or something and on the top of the gate a CRAY powered with PSCN that blows the FRME or METL away if i want to open the gate. And is it true that you can program how far it spits its ctype by adjusting the CRAY's temprature? because i dont want the PSCN powered CRAY to blow a hole untill the bottom of the simulation
