Well that depends on what you are firing. If you want to make a laser type gun that fires photons, then you would use a powered clone diode. If you want to make a gun that fires particles then you should use force ray (but there are other ways of doing this too, but are more complex). Everything else should be quite intuitive.

i find it compact, and meltpromising

use fray and bomb for railgun, pcln with ctype phot for lazer. use fray and grav for non-explosive bullets.
