What is Lua?

    Hello TPT forum. I have seen this Lua thing everywhere. What is it and how do i use/get it?

    It is actually a programming language that is designed to be easily incorporated into other projects as an embedded scripting language. TPT uses it to allow you to get hands-deep in the game code and do cool stuff with it. Like add multiplayer support.

    all you need to do lua scripting in TPT is a text editor, even notepad will work

    Use notepad, the perfect IDE.
    Go to luatut.com for a good tutorial.

    Both Eclipse and vim make for nice IDEs, vim less soon windows because of how terrible cmd.exe is. I don't recommend Notepad, for just simple text editors its nice to use one that never forces you to switch to mouse. Also, emacs is nice too.
