I think you can understand both of them very well if you take the decorations off. For the particle version you have to heat the FRAY to max and then it will shoot. :D

Use 1 pixel of FRAY at max temperature,along with a CLNE producing whatever you want to shoot. Then just activate the FRAY using SPRK. If you want lazers, however, use PCLN(PHOT) and turn on the PCLN with sparked PSCN.
