I have neither. I was going to start with the LittleBits arduino kit. I am interested because I can jump right into a project. I have not done any coding in years so it will let me get started and learning quickly. I do realize that the arduino stuff is more flexible. thanks for the comment.
yes, I just like arduinos ablity to be smashed into any toy or device and do cool stuff(and because its italian blooded like me :P), I have mine running off a raspberry pi. few days ago I was messing around with a disposable camera and now I can code it to produce 330v on the ready >:) (I think u'll need a digital camera to take photos due to mechanical parts in the disposable camera or even better look for a camera shield)

So I have been playing with the Littlebits Arduino coding kit. comes with the arduino at heard module, servo motor, led bargraph, power, fork, and 2 dimmer modules. I have only been plaing with it for about 6 hours and I am writing sketches(programs). this thing is wicked!
