Option to delete posts

    You should have an option to be able to delete your own comments on a save. I personally have some comments that are no longer true and that I would wish to delete.

    If you send me a link to the saves / page numbers in PM (or here) then I can delete them for you. I love deleting comments :)

    But we don't want to allow users to delete / edit their own comments though. That would really mess with context and could be abused too. Deleting stuff is typically a moderator action anyway.

    Yeah people would probably troll if they could edit/delete their own comments. Not that they don't already but it'd be worse.

     

    @Jacob1 speaking of trolling, what's the best way for reporting troll comments? I occasionally see them on saves.

    I think a better option would be hiding comments. The person's name would still be there, however, it would be hidden.

    Reports system w/ their name and possibly save ID of occurrences.

    report the save it happens on. If it happens more than once and you are unable to report the save again, just report one of theirs or anything else really. You could also PM a mod, but I don't mind if you report a random save to clearly explain a problem.
