What ever happened to 64 bit Linux?

Somewhat of a question, but more of a request.
I have a bad habit of changing my os (though it's always some form of 64 bit Linux) extremely often for some reason, the problem is that I always have t re-download and set up the tools to compile TPT because there are no longer any official builds. It would be really nice if the 64 bit Linux builds were brought back if that's not too much trouble.

I don't see how this could possibly improve the performance since we don't use any 64-bit data-types. And building it yourself isn't really a problem if you ask me.

I do already build it myself, it just gets kind of annoying to do.
And I know it isn't supported anymore, I was just wondering why. The issue isn't that it would improve performance, it's that I can't run 32 bit apps.

More registers available, bigger instruction set. What do you mean with no 64-bit data types?
