So just now I was messing around in a 15k deut compresser, and I shot a neutron into it to see what it would do. It came out with deut, co2, hydrogen, oxygen, photons (only yellow and orange) and Noble gas! It was with a semi large amount of max life deut, but it is replicatable. Any Idea on why?

It's fusion. The CLNE on the sides spawns ELEC, while the DEUT explosion spawns massive amounts of NEUT. ELEC and NEUT form HYGN (this reaction is older than PROT btw) and from that point it's just a matter of pressure and heat to get fusion, of which there is plenty.
