It's actually SING that generates powerful explosions when its .tmp is high enough and its .life hits 0 (you usually see it in the thousands). What people tend to do is take an element that melts / solidifies its own .ctype (ICE, SNOW, and LAVA), set its .ctype to SING, its .tmp to something high and leave its .life unchanged (because it's usually 0 by default). Once it melts / solidifies, boom.
