Radtech v1.0 - Another Radiation Mod

    Hello, fellow Lua script enjoyers,

I've written a script to add a few new radioactive elements, metals, and other tech-themed features to the game. This is my first public script, built with lots of formatting help from existing scripts and from the Lua docs on the TPT wiki.

Radiation and Technology v1.0 adds over 15 new elements, including:

    • Radon, a stable and heavy gas that can be used to stop protons; if it absorbs too many protons, its nucleus will change to a heavier element, like radium or uranium.
    • Curium, an element that heats up and decays similar to POLO, but for electrons instead of neutrons.
    • Oganesson, a dangerously radioactive element that decays in seconds. High destructive potential.
    • Radioactive amoeba. After a blob of this element is placed, the particles will assign their own roles and form into a primitive lifeform that holds its shape. It can eat radioactive metals and a few other metal types.
    • Chromium, a resilient and shiny metal. When melted together with IRON or METL, it will create stainless steel, an even more durable material.
    • Nanobots. Liquid by default, these particles have the unique ability to simulate a change in state of matter when sparked with PSCN or NSCN. When "powered" by PSCN, the nanobots will assume a pseudo-solid state, freezing in place.

Currently, the script is waiting to be processed and approved, before it can appear in the Script Manager. In the meantime, feel free to do any of the following:

    • Download or copy the source code from Pastebin here: https://pastebin.com/U4yVd2HM
    • Suggest more elements to be added in version 1.1
    • Suggest themes for my next mod (which will not be radiation-themed)

In that case, the first thing you can do is install Script Manager if you haven't already (see instructions at https://powdertoy.co.uk/Discussions/Thread/View.html?Thread=19400). Then look for a script called Script Paste, and download and run it. This is a very helpful script that I used when testing, that will let you run Lua scripts directly from your clipboard with Ctrl+`. With Script Paste installed, press the "copy" button on the Pastebin page for Radtech, then use Script Paste to run the code in TPT.

(and thanks for recommending my Script Paste script, yeah it's pretty nice for testing)
