TPT Nintendo Switch Port

I think that TPT should be added to the Nintendo Switch console, here are some reasons why

1: The game offers virtually endless playtime, so it would be great to be able to play anywhere and anytime.

2: A Switch port would gain much more players.

3: A Switch port could use the touchscreen

4: As the game grows, and more players want to play it, a Switch port would help more players join the game

5: Nintendo Switch could seamlessly run TPT thanks to the pixel style of the game

These are just a few reasons why I think it would be great on Switch, and I hope this post convinces the developers to add it to Switch, Thanks.

    6) Official porting to most mainstream gaming systems will be rejected. Systems such Sony's PS4 or the Nintendo Switch use proprietary libraries/SDKs which have incompatible licenses with The Powder Toy's GPLv3.

@snorlax_2014 (View Post) To be honest: I think it's better off only on PC and Mobile either way; who would ever use a gaming controller and console to create simulations for the rest of their activity-span when phones and computers are common household technology? That's opportunity enough for TPT.

Also, it's already hard enough to create precise simulations on an Android phone; just think of what happens if you use a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller or the NS2 Joy-Con Mouse for TPT.

Even if TPT were added to a game console, it would only gain a handful of additional users due to so many senior, iconic, classic, and, higher-quality games (no offense) dominating it; those hypothetical users would probably last for a short time.

Pro-tip: You could try to advirtize TPT or get someone famous to do so (only if mods and devs are okay with this).

@the_four_glizzy (View Post) have you tried it before? Was it handled at least almost as well as PC and/or Android? Just out of curiosity.

@the_four_glizzy (View Post) So you were able to use TPT on NS as flawlessly as PC and/or Android, especially when it comes to making precise machines, art, and custom shapes. Is that what you're saying?

This isn't the main reason why TPT isn't being pushed. Some of the software/dependencies on consoles such as the Nintendo Switch aren't compatible with TPT's GPLv3 license.
