    follow this guide on setting up the homebrew channel and no modifying firmware is not illegal (though it may violate your warranty), no it doesn't, not for TPT trust me :p

    It's not illegal, but it voids your warranty and Nintendo will refuse to fix your Wii if anything happens to it.

    triclops200: I got lucky and found that I had a free sd->usb from a camera we had bought a few years ago, otherwise I would've had to buy one.
