You mean a NOT gate? Search for "logic gates", there should be some.

there are 3 NOT gates. "fast" is relative. with PTCT you can build a fast OFF switch, but the ON switch takes time. otherwise you should use old stile NOTs with detectors etc, maybe you can build a faster NOT

That does only work if the source of the input is also a battery element. If you use spark itself or the detector wall element, every 5th or 6th pulse will still go through. I think the frequency of spark output of the battery element is slightly higher than any other spark source. Can this be considered a bug?

i've used battery, too (3rd NOT gate uses them, the others are rather outdated).
