    Um, thats exactly what thermal display does now. Not sure what you're asking for.

    He wants the background to show heat. Problem with that is the background doesnt take heat. Heat loss/gain only happens when another particle that is colder/hotter than the first particle comes into contact.
    Powder has no air...
