PSA: GROUPS

All group activities are to be SUSPENDED until further notice.
All the threads have been locked, any new threads will be DELETED and the creators BANNED for a minimum of 24 hours.
The primary reason for this is we do not have a system for groups and most are at least borderline spam.
Any questions will be answered. Any posts which do not contribute will be hidden and the poster may be subject to a ban. -

Is any effort being directed towards created a group sub-section of PT?
Something like this would be great if it included:
- Thread approval to prevent spam groups
- Ability for thread owner to appoint thread mods to moderate the specific group thread (one less thing for you guys to do) -- this is a little far out, but it would be much better, I think, if groups that simply were full of spam and not properly looked after are deleted. This could only be done, however, if it was the responsibility of the thread owner and those he or she appoints to keep things under control.
- And any other useful features that others may suggest. -

The current plan is to create a LIMITED sub-forum for groups, however no additional powers will be given to anyone and mods will still need to be notified of any rule violations.
All groups will go through a registration process which will be reviewed then either Approved or Rejected by the moderation team. -
Sounds good to me. Better than the current system, or lack there of.
While this may never happen, since a dedicated sub-form will be made, it would be kind of cool if groups had a "badge" that appeared in the corner of saves when in tile view. (it would be a small 15 by 15 pixel image) -
How about we make a groups section, just like the general or feedback sections. All group threads that were locked should be moved there and unlocked. I understand it'll take time though.
