Shouldn't Smoke be created when water touches something which is burning?

I'm saying this as a suggestion to put it in the powder toy... i'm not saying that I got mistaken with steam and smoke.

Smoke is a byproduct of fire, fine particles of carbon. So water + something burning doesn't result in smoke.

Water does not make smoke. Smoke is rising ash. Ash is burnt carbon. Carbon is the fuel that is undergoing a chemical reaction. The chemical reaction is fire. Water is heated up and is turned to steam which mixes with the smoke and it will appear as though there is more smoke when instead there is steam rising aswell.
