PC Game Companies

    Hello TPT,

This may be considered as spam, but I wanted to see what other people's opinions on this subject are.

I am a great fan of PC gaming. Particularly the Age of Empires franchise and the :Total War series. I have felt recently that companies such as SEGA, The Creative Assembly and Ensemble Studios are producing games that require stupidly large system requirements meaning that many people will not be able to run these games. Aren't the companies losing customers if the majority of people can't play the games? Also, I have noticed that companies such as Nvidia produce and supply GPUs and MOBOs to major computing companies such as Dell, Toshiba (especially), HP, Asus and Acer and they contribute to the making of some games. So, are Nvidia producing these games with ridiculously high minimum specs so that the customers who cannot run the games go out and purchase a new computer with a Nvidia GPU successfully making Nvidia some more cash. Isn't this just a massive viscious circle set up by the games manufactureres? Post your opinions here, I would like to know whether you think I've been smoking something or if I have a valid point.

Here is a game I was interested in buying: http://www.totalwar.com/shogun2/news/4807
To me, those system requirements are plain stupid; feel free to contradict me.

    EDIT: @The-TPT-Moderating-Team:
I love you, you're excellent. Compared to the Total War moderating team, you are gods. I have posted questions after questions on the Total War forum and the mods never get back to me.

He wasn't saying get an xbox... He was saying get a playstation 3. He was saying he didn't have a solution after getting an xbox and that xbox fails.

I was hoping to get more sensible replies that are actually on-topic.

This might be a bit over most people's heads. I'll admit I haven't a clue about PC gaming.

Hmm, it might go over people's heads but... they still might be able to see my point.

Bloody hell, those requirements are a bit high. Good marketing though, it means you have to buy a new PC, chances are you will by one with good specs, with parts by Nvidia, etc. It's clever, but not good.
